 "for music lovers!" 2009-12-17
By Ariane Ramirez (Texas United States)
When my son's first birthday came up, I knew I wanted to get him a Baby Einstein Takealong Tunes because I had seen how much his cousin loved hers and because I wanted to expose my child to music at an early age. The music featured comes from some of the most well known composers ever. We call it his "radio"/"baby iPod" and it's one of his favorite toys. It's easy for him to turn on and off, easy to carry around, he loves the lights, and he loves to have the music playing in the background when he's playing with other toys. If your child is a bit rough or likes to randomly drop things repeatedly things, it's also VERY durable and has survived being slammed, thrown and stepped on. After four months, the batteries are still going strong which is good. Like other reviewers have said, the volume is not loud or annoying (for when you're in a public place like a doctor's office where it really comes in handy).

"We love our "Baby iPod"" 2009-12-14
By Rebecca M. (St. Joseph, MI, USA)
We jokingly call this our son's "Baby iPod". Nicholas is 10 months old and has had this for about 4 months. He likes to watch the lights and the button is easy for him to press. He also likes to chew on the handle! The toy is very portable -- easy to clip onto linking rings to keep it from getting lost. The sound is good quality and the songs are upbeat and fun. It's a great buy for the price.

 "Simply fun" 2009-12-12

I also like the weight and music of this toy - it also worked well for us in a long car ride (at night) to add some light and color display :)

"sounds and lights are entertaining, could've done more w/ it" 2009-12-11
By Nicole Abraira (Miami, FL United States)
I received this today. I'm giving it to my 5-year-old brother who has cerebral palsy. We'll see how he responds. The sounds and lights are entertaining. I don't love the circular pad on the front. It's just coated paper, and the colors don't represent individual buttons. It's just one button under there. Before I figured that out I thought the red wasn't working! The label says it helps with hand-eye coordination. I guess it teaches children that sounds and colors appear when they press the button. It would've been nice if there were individual buttons that trigger the same colors. Then toddlers could consciously trigger certain colors.
